Recap: Girls'Day 2026 at Biohealth
A look behind the scenes of food production
Gaining insights into professions in which women have been underrepresented so far – that is exactly what Girls'Day is about. The nationwide action day offers schoolgirls the opportunity to get to know new perspectives, discover interests, and overcome apprehensions about supposedly 'atypical' fields of work.
This year, at Biohealth, we opened our doors for the first time as part of Girls’Day and invited female students to experience the world of food production up close. Our goal: to show how practical and future-proof this industry really is. And, of course, to inspire an interest in a career at Biohealth.
Arrive, get to know, dive in
The day started with an interactive welcome session. Through an icebreaker game, the participants immediately began talking to each other and then received a first brief theoretical insight into our company.
Even at this point, it became clear: there is much more behind the production of dietary supplements than just manufacturing. It is a combination of a lot of teamwork between the different departments. Starting with consulting, through product development, procurement, and logistics, all the way to production and quality management.

Experience production up close
During the tour of our production, the students experienced live how raw materials are turned into finished products and what steps are necessary to ensure the highest quality.
Modern facilities, structured processes, and precise procedures made it clear how demanding and at the same time exciting food production in Germany is.
Experience sensory perception: smell, taste, compare
How differently products can be perceived was shown by the subsequent tasting. In the smelling jar test and the analysis of different tastes, the participants sharpened their senses and got a sense of the role that sensory perception plays in the development of dietary supplements.
