Tree planting campaign
Sustainability is important to us at Biohealth - for our customers, our employees and the future of our planet. With our new project in the Franconian Forest and Fichtelgebirge, we are making a valuable contribution to climate protection and promoting the region at the same time.
Planting trees for the future
Starting January 1, 2025, for every order item delivered each year, a tree or shrub suitable for the location will be planted in the Frankenwald or Fichtelgebirge. With around 3,000 order items per year, this will not only create valuable new greenery right in our home region, but we will also be making a concrete contribution to climate protection.
The newly planted trees will bind around 47.1 tons of CO₂ annually – that's already more than 8% of our current electricity consumption. After five years, this will grow into a living climate protection forest that will offset around 40% of our current electricity requirements while also securing important habitats for insects and forest animals in the Frankenwald and Fichtelgebirge. Together with our photovoltaic system, we are moving step by step closer to our goal of virtually CO₂-neutral production
